The classes are open to the public at a cost of $100. The classes begin at the end of May and have individual schedules.
“There are a variety of courses that give people the know-how they need to fix a broken thermostat, conduct a home inspection, spot issues before they become problems, install a new lighting fixture or replace a faucet. Most people don’t know how to do these things, but there are a lot of folks out there who want to know. And we have the know-how to give them,” said Jason Webb, Dean of Construction and Manufacturing.
Courses include:
Raymond Campus: Hobby Welding, Welding and Cutting Technology, Homeowners HVAC, Homeowners Electrical, Small Engine Repair, Drafting/AutoCAD Interest Class
Career-Technical Education Building, Greenfield Road, Rankin Campus: Hobby Welding, Homeowners Electrical, Homeowners Plumbing
